Every Green Chili Jam Band recording has won national acclaim. In addition to the national awards from Parents' Choice and the American Library Association, Coconut Moon won the 1997 New Mexico MIC Award for Best Album, "Lard" won for Best Song and Barney Fuller won the Best Producer award for his production work on Coconut Moon!

Whether they’re as big as the ocean or as small as a yo-yo, the good things in life get a hearty musical cheer from the quartet known as the Green Chili Jam band. "I Like What I Like" celebrates the joy of deciding things for yourself, even if it means putting chili on apple pie. "The Islanders" is a story with songs about a people who journey from their Pacific Island home to a new land. As well as being thinkers; the Chilis are fine harmonizers and versatile instrumentalists.
